We bought this playhouse for our 3 & 5 year olds for Christmas. They have been playing in it and coloring it almost everyday since then. It's large enough to fit an adult inside with the kids. They still have not finished coloring the entire house...there are so many different areas! I recommend it if you have children that love to color, paint, etc. It' fun for the whole family.
Pirate's Cove
In Pirate's Cove, players take on the role of ship captains as they battle for the rights to plunder and become the most famed and feared Pirate the world has ever seen. To do so, they will need to navigate shrewdly, fight recklessly, and pillage mercilessly. Gain fame by winning battles, burying gold and treasure, and bragging about your exploits at the Tavern, and at the end of twelve months, the pirate with the most fame will be declared the most fearsome Pirate of the High Seas! A swashbuckling board game for 2-5 fortune-hunters, ages 10 and up.
This is a great game to play. It is a little complicated to learn at first(and I am in college) but pretty intuitive after you learn the rules. The goal of the game is to become the most famous pirate, or gain the most fame points. You do that by fighting other ships(players and famous pirates) and by "plundering" the different islands each turn. You can also upgrade your ship which gives you different advantages such as rolling more dice. Each dice is a cannon shot and "hits" the opponent when a five or six is rolled. I won't go into all of the details, but the game is a lot of fun for 3 or more, but not a game for young kids.

My huband and I won a copy of this game while performing at a pirate festival in Florida. Since then, we've bought copies for friends and family, and I've lost track of how many people we've turned onto it. The rules allow you to adapt them to the levels of the players, depending on ages and skill levels, so you can make it really a good, challenging, strategy game if you wish, or easy enough for even little kids. And it looks great, the pieces are all really well made and lovely to look at, and it's very, very well put together. My personal favorite parts are the bits of "pirate trivia" on the various player cards. To say it's "fun for the whole family" is a cliche, but it's a true one. I can't say it better than that. This game has won several awards, and it certainly deserves them! Highly recommended!
Partyland Buccaneer Bones Child 12-14 Costume
Includes: Ribcage Shirt, Pants, Gauze Over Shirt, Bone Gloves, 2 Belts, Boot Tops and Bandana. Sizes 14-16
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful 1.0 out of 5 starsNot a ready to wear costume!, January 3, 2007 By CME - See all my reviewsThis costume was as wide as it was tall. The shirt had to have a significant amount of fabric removed from the width before it was even wearable and other alterations to make the 'bones' line up. The 'boots' had to be pinned in place to stay up. After considerable effort, the costume was passable. The quality of the materials makes this a one time wear, don't expect it to last for play. Lastly, the smell of the dyes is very pungent when first opened. Allow time to air it out or your ghost pirate will also smell dead.
Disney Magic Kingdom Game
Visit the Magic Kingdom in your own living room! Maybe you'll get to ride Space Mountain or sail along with the Pirates of the Caribbean! Why not take a trip through Mickey's Country House or a tour of Sleeping Beauty's Castle? With luck you may get an autograph from Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck on the way! Be careful of your opponents -- they may be able to set you back or send you on a wild goose chase around the park. The first player to visit their attractions and make it back to the park entrance wins the game!
I bought this game for myself, I'm a Disneyland nut! We go at least once a year, so this is great to fill in the time between visits. We play as a family, we love it. My kids are 6 and 3, they really get into the game. It helps get your kids involved in planning and thinking ahead. Although many of the rides are not in the same places as they are at Disneyland. The goal of the game is to go to all your attractions and get back to the front gate 1st. It's a great game for the family and for Disney lovers of all ages. A great way to spend family time, even if you are not at Disneyland.
Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack
As a teaser for some more detailed Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure news that we will be bringing you next week during E3, Activision has released some character vignettes, which tell us a little more about the characters that are set to feature in the game’s starter pack. Skylanders Spyro’s adventure involves real life toys, which players will have to place on the Portal of Power to bring them into the game. The three toy characters that come in the starter pack are: Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy. We have some information and some short clips where players can see all three characters in action.
I have been playing Spyro games since the first one came out when I was in elementary school. I pride myself in having all Spyro games and have beat them all! Like most I was upset about the game play behind Skylanders and thought it was horrible that everything cost so much money. However, it turned out to be a great game! My friends laugh at me for playing a kids game so much but I can't put this game down. I started with five out of the eight elements and plan on buying the rest of the elements when I get my next paycheck. All you need is all seven elements not all 32 characters to complete the game, but I was told that you get extra bonuses if you get all skylanders in the same element. Also these toys are very rugged, you would have to smash them with a hammer if you wanted to break them so don't worry about kids destroying these! The gameplay is very simple and basic so that kids can play it but adds a touch of difficulty once in a while for the more experience players. I also think it's neat that the skylanders can remember everything they have done on one system then you can move your skylander to another system and it has everything from before. I would buy one for the DS if it were for all DS devices and not just for the 3DS. This means if your kid has Skylanders and their friend gets Skylanders then they bring each other's characters to the other's house and 'battle' them or use them to work together on a level!

Scope of Player (me)If you're curious to who I am as a game player so as to understand this review: 28, married, no children and the last games I just finished or am playing are Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, Cars 2, Burnout Crash, Rock of Ages and I'm highly anticipating Professor Layton 4, LotR: War of the North, Saints Row 3 and Uncharted 3.If you want the quick answer/review, here it is: if you love figurines (regardless of points of articulation), fun and quirky character design, new technology, a decent 3rd-person brawler and the grind, then you should buy this game this very moment. The GimmickThere's always got to be a gimmick when you try to charge more than the "standard price of admission" for any game. In this case, the $69.99 you spend nets you the PORTAL OF POWER and three Skylander figurines. What this is used for is essentially your real-time character change. When you place a Skylander on the Portal of Power, the game recognizes this and swaps your character to the one you places on the portal. The really neat part is that it saves that individual character's stats (current level, stats, upgrades and hat). That means it's basically it's own proprietary memory card. I think Toys for Bob and Activision did a good job executing this new integration of figurines with video games.I also like the way it's integrated as it's compatible across the board. This means if you bring your figures to a friend's house who owns a different system than you, you can still…

This is a great set of games. The games can last anywhere from 5min to hours depending on who your playing against and how many players. ITs a blast and this is by far the best price I could find on all these sets.
Front Porch Classics Dread Pirate Bookshelf Game
Journey back in time with your family for a high-seas, treasure-hunting pirate adventure. A Family Fun Magazine "Toy of the Year" award winner, Dread Pirate is a slice of adventure gaming for the entire family that's rich in detail, history and excitement. Game is played on a wonderfully illustrated and aged treasure map with cast metal playing pieces, replica doubloons, wooden dice, treasure bags and pirate treasure. This attractive Bookshelf Edition comes packaged in an aged wooden book that will look great displayed in any room of the house. For 2-4 players.
We thought this game was a bit pricey, but you get a much better-made game than plastic-and-cardboard ones for nearly the same price. Glass 'jewels', metal dubloons, metal ships, velvet purses, and a cloth gameboard all stored in a very well-made wooden bookshelf case with a strong magnetic latch. The game play is not limited to a preset course or path, but up to the player to determine direction and route. Treasures can be gathered by raiding, trading, or attacking other players. Extra powers are received by becoming the "Dread Pirate," but this can be lost in combat with another player. The rulebook includes basic rules and advanced variations to keep play interesting.Like all games, die rolls and luck can sometimes play a large part but that always changes. I expect that it will eventually become monotonous, but long after most other games would have become excrutiatingly boring. Rules are easy to alter (such as more or fewer jewels to gather) to experiment with other variations and keep it interesting.Bottom line: Much more - in both fun and (especially) quality - than other games of the same price. We have had no 'buyer's regret' from purchasing this game at all. Top-notch all the way; we could (and have) gotten far less for the same price. Highly recommended.
